Natalie Orfalea

For over 35 years, Natalie Orfalea has been deeply involved in philanthropy, providing  vision, inspiration, and strategy behind her family foundations’ initiatives. Her donor activist interests focus on  global and community health, environmental conservation and education, leadership development, social justice, and documentary films.
  
Following a successful career at Xerox Corporation, Natalie ran an independent product development firm. She raised two sons. Who now serve on the NOF board .  As an executive coach, business person and altruist, she combines her communication skills, entrepreneurial experience and creative thinking with her collaborative approach to resolving complex social issues.  In addition to her own foundation work, she is a member of the Giving Pledge,  Impact Partners and the University of California Santa Barbara’s Council for Arts & Lectures, and she serves on the Advisory Board of VIEW (Veterinary Initiative for Endangered Wildlife.)

 

Lou Buglioli

Lou Buglioli, former CEO & Executive Chairman of Viewpointe, is a 50 year veteran in the Financial Services and Technology Outsourcing Industry. Since starting Viewpointe in 2002, Buglioli oversaw the company as an industry innovator in information governance and digital storage with the nation's leading banks, insurance companies and health care organizations. His career includes extensive executive experience in advising financial service and technology companies on merger and acquisitions, strategy and business operations during his 20-year career as President and Managing Partner of a major consulting company. He and his partner sold the company to Perot Systems in 1997, where he then led the Global Financial Services Industry Group for retail, commercial and investment banks, insurance companies and payment services organizations. Lou also served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Telecredit Inc. (now FIS), Senior Vice President of the now Wells Fargo Bank and Vice President of Citibank where he was responsible for electronic banking, retail bank operations and technology. 

Lou holds a Master’s degree in Science from MIT and Duquesne University as an undergraduate. 

Now retired, Lou spend his time serving on the Natalie Orfalea Foundation Finance Committee researching and co-funding philanthropic initiatives in partnership with the Natalie Orfalea Foundation, as well as  on the Board and Finance Committee of Direct Relief International.

Marybeth Carty

Marybeth Carty is the Executive Director of the Natalie Orfalea Foundation. She spent the prior 15 years in corporate philanthropy , interfacing with hundreds of different nonprofit organizations per year. She previously served as director of grant funded education programs for the Carpinteria Unified School District for 9 years.

Marybeth ‘s experience in the nonprofit sector spans over 35 years, serving and leading on a number of boards that address community strengthening, education and social justice. She attended Antioch University and the Universary of California Santa Barbara, earning degrees in psychology and liberal studies

 

Mason Orfalea

After graduating from NYU, Mason worked as a musician and songwriter. Career highlights include performing at Coachella and signing to Epic/Sony records. While on tour he saw a need for more youth to have greater access to the artistic tools they needed to express their creative interests.  As a result, he founded the LOUD Program which has taught thousands of students the arts through its innovative film and music classes. Mason received his Masters degree from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Recently, he is focused on his real estate development and hospitality company.

Keenan Orfalea

Keenan currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Natalie Orfalea Foundation which launched in 2016.  He is a former board member of the Orfalea Family Foundation and the Orfalea Fund which during its 15-year history invested in sustainable solutions through collaborative initiatives and entrepreneurial partnerships in the areas of early childhood education, food system reform, youth development, education, and disaster readiness.
